#LovingOutLoud
#LovingOutLoud is Pastor Renita’s personal theology statement. God is love, love was made flesh and dwelled among us that the world might know (intimately) Love. Knowing is more than having information—it is becoming one with, intimately intertwined with the Known. Often Christendom talks about an intimate relationship with Christ—knowing God. Our relationship with God is not for ourselves, it is so that the world will know love—the deep, abiding love that heals, liberates and transforms. Loving as an expression of our being is the manifestation of God in us. If we say that we love others in our hearts, but they do not know that they are loved, our love is for ourselves, not others. Love is liberating when experienced authentically. The world is full of noise that fills our hearts and heads with doubt, fear, pessimism, judgement, elitism and all kinds of strife. It is when love is louder than the noise that the darkness is pierced and liberation is possible. We cannot be racist, classist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist or “other” people in any way and say that we love God—that God lives in us. God living in us is the most basic relationship step—God living through us must be our goal.
